From Taiwan to Figueres
The first Asian restaurant in the Girona area
Pablo Lee Chiang and Leticia Hsing came over from Taiwan and opened Shang-Hai on 19 March 1973, in a basement on the corriol de les Bruixes. It was the first Chinese restaurant in the province of Girona, and for years the ingredients had to be fetched from Perpignan or the Netherlands.

Soups and starters
Sopa Hun Tun, Rollitos de primavera, Galletas de gambas and the Ensaladas de la casa open the menu.
Wok, duck and Tou Fu
Pato asado, Tou Fu blanco vegetariano, Ternera Saté and the classic stir-fries, cooked to order.
Rice and noodles
Arroz frito SHANG HAI, Tallarines fritos SHANG HAI and Fideos de arroz, for sharing in the middle of the table.
About our cooking
Chinese. The house recipes combine traditional Chinese flavours with dishes made to suit local tastes, and everything is cooked in the restaurant itself.
The menu has ninety-eight dishes across eleven sections, from soups and starters to duck, Tou Fu and rice dishes. It is published and kept up to date on this website.
Since 19 March 1973. It was the first Chinese restaurant in the Girona area and is still run by the Lee family.
